Milwaukee Zen Center is going to have a practice period, starting on Sunday, October 1, until Sunday, November 12.   This is designed for Zen students at any stage of their practice. The requirement is a serious wish to make a commitment. It is understood that nobody will be able to attend all the events, and we will talk about what is possible for you.

Tuesdays, 5:30 – 7:15 pm: Study Group on Vasubandhu's Yogacara

Wednesdays: 6:30 pm Zazen, Kinhin, 7:10 Zazen

Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:30 am: Open Zazen

Fridays, 5:30 pm: Study Group on the Precepts

Fridays, 6:30 pm: Group Meeting for PP students only

Thursday, 10/5 and Saturday, 11/4, 4:30 pm: Full Moon Bodhisattva Ceremony

Saturdays, 10/7 and 11/4, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm: One-Day Sitting

Sundays, 9:30 am Zazen, Kinhin, 10:15 Dharma Talk

Sundays, 2:00 – 4:00 pm: Sewing Buddha's Robe

Saturday, 10/21, 7:30 – 1:30: Half-Day Sitting

Saturday, 11/4, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm: One-Day Sitting

every other Saturday: 7:30 am Zazen, Kinhin, 8:10 Zazen, 8:40 Morning Service,

9:00 am Oryoki Breakfast, followed by work period (Soji)

10:15 am Reading Group

Sunday, 11/12, 6:30 pm: Zazen and Conclusion of PP

Practice Period students are expected to attend as many as possible of these events. In addition, they will have bi-weekly individual meetings with the teacher and make personal commitments to home practice. Suggested donation for the PP: $120 – 300

(Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.)

Anyone is warmly welcome to join in any of these activities. You may sign up as a member of the PP, or just show up.
