Saturday, fifth Saturday and a second full moon this month.
We are going to have our usual Saturday morning program (7:30 am zazen, 8:00 kinhin, 8:10 zazen, reading group at 9:15) and, in place of service, the Bodhisattva ceremony:
A reenactment of an ancient monastic ceremony, where we refresh our vows to live in an enlightened way. Anybody is welcome to join.
This celebration is done in Mahayana monasteries and zen centers everywhere, and especially recommended for students who have received the precepts.
If you have not participated in the past, it is easy to join in, and you can also stay in the back and just watch.
