MEETING MALE AND FEMALE ANCESTORS OF THE ZEN LINEAGE
NOTE: The Closing Ceremony will happen on Sunday, November 8, at 11 am
The 8-week practice period is an opportunity for Zen students to deepen their practice and understanding of Zen principles, meditation, texts, ritual, and sangha activity. As MZC is a lay temple, there are no requirements for participation. It is entirely open to you, how much you want to be involved.
This year’s emphasis is on our connection with enlightened people of the past who have forged the Way for us over hundreds of years. Their stories can set examples for us in our effort to awaken.
A class with the same title will be offered on Monday nights. A second class, dealing with the precepts, will be happening on Wednesday nights
There will be one-on-one practice discussions (dokusan) with Reirin at individually scheduled times and group meetings on Friday evenings.
All scheduled events as well as zazen will continue to be broadcast on Zoom. (Please let me know if you would like to come in person.) There will be separate zoom links to insure privacy.
You may feel free to join any open meetings, but registration is necessary for the Practice Period, which will be followed by an interview with the teacher.

Zazen and Service
Weekly Talk
Monday Class
Wednesday Class
Friday Group Meetings

Sesshin
Ceremonies (Opening and Closing, Shuso Ceremony, Full Moon Ceremony)
Suggested Fee for non-members: $ 120, or pay what you can. Membership discounts apply.
