The BODHISATTVA, the awakening being, has made a vow to be liberated for the benefit of all beings. From the Mahayana point of view this path is open for anyone, not just for monks or very special humans. The class puts an emphasis on the way of practice for the lay bodhisattva.
We are going to read a sutra that the Buddha taught in response to Ugra, the Householder, who wanted, together with 500 others, enter the Bodhisattva Path. Thich Nhat Hanh wrote a commentary that explains it to us in modern language.
Texts from other contemporary teachers will supplement the discussions about setting up a place for your personal practice and how to be active in today’s world.
THE CLASS WILL BE ON ZOOM ONLY!
Please sign up by email to info@mkzen.org. You will be given a separate zoom code.
